Cherry Laminate Flooring

Laminate flooring is one of the more popular flooring types around these days.  There are many reasons for this but the simple fact is that it’s getting harder to find a laminate floor that is unique and beautiful.  For one of the most unique looks in the entire flooring world you need look no further than cherry laminate flooring.

This type of cherry look has as many options as you could possibly imagine.  Anything from the lighter look of a natural cherry to a dark enhanced cherry.  The color can vary from looking very light and almost like oak to a deep brown that is almost a red.  There is also a variation in the look of the laminate, not just the color.  You can get flooring that resembles the natural wood, with all the whorls and knots included.  Or you can get a more finished look that only resembles the cherry in color.

Cherry laminate flooring is also a lot easier to take care of than its exotic import wood counterpart.   Both are very durable and offer the same rich color.  But the laminate is not as likely to scratch or dent.  Laminate floors are as easy to clean as the counter, and no special care is needed.  Since the floor does not warp or scratch, there is nothing you need to worry about that will damage the material.  Just clean it up with a damp mop and you are ready to go.  No waxing, no buffing, no special oils to be applied.  Installing a laminate flooring is also much easier than installing a hardwood floor.  For the more part, you snap the pieces together and glue it down.  It really can be as simple as that.  You don’t really need to have the floor sealed since the pieces automatically seal when they are snapped together.  If you want to make it lay down and stay together even easier, add a laminate underlayment.  This is basically a layer of foam that sits underneath the laminate and gives it a more even surface.

Many manufacturers offer cherry laminate flooring but one of the leaders is Pergo.  They are world renowned for laminate flooring, and their cherry laminate is a distinctive look that will stand out from any other.  The company generally targets residential use in the United States, but it is also perfect for commercial use as well.  There is a lot of strong competition so this expansion has been slower for their laminate line.  And as with any laminate floor, it’s easy to install on your own but the company will send someone to do it if you prefer.  You will never want to put down an area rug with a floor as beautiful as a cherry laminate.
